Lodging

The majority of Adirondack Hikers do not reside in the Adirondack Park; thus it makes sense to consider extending your stay and embrace the leisurely vacation lifestyle. Depending on what you hope to experience during your stay in the Adirondacks, you’ll want to choose your lodging arrangements carefully.

Some hikers will want access to amenities that include shopping and a diverse list of dining options, while others might prefer to stay some place more remote that still offers the comforts of a bed and private bathroom. Then there are hikers that lean toward a more traditional camping experience, truly immersing themselves in nature for their extended Adirondack stay. Regardless of your needs and preferences, there are plenty of excellent lodging options throughout the Adirondack Park to choose from.

Many hikers will spend their recovery time between hikes visiting a museum, exploring a farmers’ market, paddling a lake, enjoying a scenic boat ride, swimming, or simply relaxing in a hammock with a good book. There is a plethora of off-trail activities to choose from, and some lodging accommodations are so restorative that you’ll have little reason to leave the peace and tranquility of your surroundings.

Adirondack Hikers’ provides a diverse list of lodging options in addition to highlighting some of our favorite places to stay throughout the Adirondack Park.
