Dining

One of my favorite traditions of Adirondack hiking is replenishing my body post hike with a delicious meal from a local dining establishment. After burning all those calories, you typically want to replenish with some protein and complex sugars. While you could easily grab a quick energy bar snack or enjoy a packed meal you left in your car cooler, Adirondack Hikers encourages you to consider extending your Adirondack experience by opting to dine locally. You really want to refuel your body within an hour after completing a hike, and you should feel good about supporting a local Adirondack business.

Adirondack Hikers‘ provides a diverse list of dining options in addition to highlighting some of our favorite places to eat throughout the Adirondack Park.

For those hikers looking to get more information about what to eat before and during a hike, keep your eyes open for a future article discussing nutritional tips to support a more enjoyable dayhike.
